Over 1,100 workers at the Warrior Met Coal plant in Brookwood, AL have been on strike since April 1. The miners, who work 12-hour shifts and have been required to work up to seven days a week, demand a reversal of anti-worker measures, including layoffs and wage cuts. Thousands of water protectors have responded to the call made by Indigenous women leaders to block construction of the Line 3 pipeline, which the company Enbridge would use to transport nearly 800,000 barrels of crude oil per day through Indigenous territories. Nearly 200 water protectors were arrested in Minnesota last week. Now even more forces are taking up this courageous battle.
